I noticed
a plot in the paper today that said that cases in Washington State are only doubling every week vs. every couple of days in other “hot zones.

I got a deep freeze full of ‘em. Apparently for home made croutons in 2025.

I’t’s currently 1am and I am making a pasta bake because why not
It seems my body’s natural schedule when I have no work or other obligations is to be awake until three and then sleep till noon.

Grabbed some bruschetta and a panini from a local joint. You know were fucked when teachers are eating like kings. Trying to keep my local joints afloat, and spread my wages around our hood. Staff asked that I not tip them and instead donate to a fund to help support their laid off coworkers. There’s hope out there, but it requires a complete reorganization of how we do things.

Weather? I’ve encountered the idea warm weather + SAH in the US is hoped to reduce the spread because the virus has a shorter lifespan on surfaces in warm weather ( probably referencing sun and UV) . The opposite is being expressed for the other hemisphere.

Nah the Seattle freeze is more to do with the fact that people in the PNW tend to have a very close circle of friends. They don’t let outsiders into that circle easily.
Seattle is very damp this time of year, lots of drizzle, cool temps just above freezing. Since they had a big outbreak there, the transmission should be way worse, but it has turned out to be very low.
