Why would you ever put a sheep (lamb) outside in the barn, when you could let a sheep (lamb) snooze by the nice warm fire?

Kinja'd!!!

After all, sheep are domesticated animals, they should be treated as such!

(she doesn't know it yet, but she's spending the afternoon at barn camp)

You should just let her be an inside sheep. Just this one.

“just one” that’s how it always starts...

Also, if the other sheep found out, there would be a freakin’ riot. - A t least until the grass was green, and then they’d all want to be outside again. Sheep are very fickle.

I assume the picture of her is like any decent picture of my 9 year old twin boys.  In a still frame they can be adorable, but in real life they are human tornadoes.

Eventually, all the sheep will be inside, and you’ll sleep in the barn.

There are more of them than us... Thankfully sheep are notoriously bad at decending stairs, so we can shelter  in the basement .

Not if you butcher and smoke ahead of time.

She may look innocent, but there’ll be no pulling the wool over her eyes.

Yea, I was thinking it will be eight or nine months old around the holidays.

I was never a big lamb fan until I started eating some in Ireland, where it was much fresher (think hours) than anything I ever tried at home in the states. From time to time I make a lamb bolognese which is really good....again, assuming it’s fresh lamb which isn’t always easy to find in NJ.

I think the key with lamb is to have a relationship with a good butcher who knows his sources.
