Tonight’s Pajero project was an oil change. I even splurged for Synthetic. The last time I owned an diesel vehicle, synthetic oil with diesel additive packages were fairly uncommon and seriously expensive, which was cost prohibitive on a 13 quart oil change in a Super Duty 7.3 . I was pleased to find a variety of diesel synthetic oils for reasonable money over the weekend.

To my surprise, the truck has a quick connect fitting drain plug for oil changes without removing the drain plug. I’ll have to locate a matching fitting for future use.

As a bonus project, Amazon brought me a cable lock for the spare tire. You know, only to require a slight increase in effort to steal it.

Is that one of those vacuum suck plugs that Jiffy Lube was selling 20 years ago?

I got mine with the hose attachment and my oil changes are quick, clean super easy since the filter is up top beside the oil cap.
