Does anyone actually use coins anymore?

As is typical, Subaru usually keeps the best features for themselves in Japan. Nothing a quick online purchase can’t fix.

Yes, these are actually the same color.

Fuse b ox door.

The part # and assorted details; “COIN BOX ” is actually molded into the part!

Awesome feature and nice job tracking that down. This is what I miss about forums, they used to be gre at at cataloging and stashing all of this sort of information.

Do you have to remove the whole hatch to access the fuses now?

The coin box can drop down further, you just have to pull it past the secondary catch that holds it up. It’s easy enough to do that it’s not an issue.

I look forward to having extra storage. Subaru has made these for various models over the years , and they did include them in the US for some such as my friend’s 2003 WRX. Many forums definitely aren’t what they used to be.

My 91 Civic had that same feature . I think a few of my other Honda’s did too. I never really used it. But when I did it was for coins so it works for the intended used

This replaced the Honda forum I used to frequent.

And every automotive forum I’ve tried to join since has been disappointing. Altho the Galant VR-4 one was usually helpful. But there was definitely an air of “stupid new guy doesn’t know this obvious thing” if you asked a basic question.

The worst forum I’ve used tho is Moped Army. I’ve looked for information there and found quite a bit since I got my Tomos. But by the 4th or 5th reply every single thread turns into a shot show of dick measuring, name calling, and just overall childish behavior.

Oppo is better

They’re a cash based society.

Whereas I haven’t touched a penny in years. People keep those? It takes more time to count them than they’re worth.

Lol.

It’s on the list for the next time I order parts. In the meantime the fuse box door is in the glovebox.

Without a doubt the community on Oppo is better than any forum I’ve been a part of. The amount of very specific knowledge on forums is what I miss.

The Moped army didn’t used to be that bad, but I haven’t been on it since probably 2011...
