I have used donor parts of a large number of cars to my 1987 Peugeot 205 CTi. The mk2 Renault Twingo has been added to this list. I have joined the Twingo-dark sid e.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

The window rubbers on the doors of these 205 convertibles shrink after 3 decades . Badly. New rubbers are not available. Junkers have the same issue. So, you have to be creative. We have created a Twingo-205 hybrid window rubbers, and they fit!

well done.

no rare spares type companies do parts for them?

no aftermarket  companies doing body rubbers?

no vintage parts program thru Peugeot?

Since recently you can get new rubbers for the hatchback, straight from Peugeot classic. The convertible has frameless windows and that quarter window though, so the rubber is very different.

I actually assume that Peugeot classic parts will start producing this again. Maybe at the end of this year, maybe in 5 years. I wanted a solution now.

P arts availability for these cars is fine. Aftermarket too. I can get a clutch or a new convertible roof just fine.   It’s just the very specialized parts that are hard to get. The window rubber is the inside part and the outside part combined at the edge of the door . So you cannot use something universal.

There’s a blue 1991 (registered April 1992) 205cti cj for sale for £1,495 on Autotrader U.K. if you need a parts car and know someone that will go in with you on the price.

Very neat, looks like it could be from the factory.

There’s a much cheaper (and much rougher) running CJ 25 km from me. The one in your link is about 1550 km from me ; )

I was actually thinking of getting the one close to me, to fix up during this Corona crisis. Yet, I cannot get it as it does not have a valid MOT-equivalent and it has minor vandalism damage (headlight, mirrors). And I don’t have a car with tow hook (or a towing license) ...

CJ is 60-75 hp. CTI is 105-115 hp, stock . Mine is currently somewhere between 150 and 190 hp :)
