I’m kind of amazed it’s taken them this long as people are more interested than ever in period correct car modifications, especially for 70s-90s cars. Seems like easy money for Recaro.

I wonder if the delay was related to Porsche using their seats and not wanting to be undercut.....maybe part of an agreement?  Totally guessing, because I agree they are late to the party.

I have had my eye on a set of LX for the 02 since I brought it home. It would be cool to be able to get in the back of the car.

Wow! That seat on the left looks fantastic!

I’m looking hard at Volvo 240s and that seat on the left would look good in one! The only problem is that all the ones I keep finding have either the blue or brown interior.

Back in the early 1980s, we used to live a block or so away from the Oz Recaro distributor. One of the staff there had something very similar to that leftmost seat occupying the passenger compartment of an immaculate bottle green Datsun 1000.

You can get nice seats at Classic Car Seats in many styles for a half of that per seat.

Can you still you get these new? These are the ones I want. They have them reversed in the picture - the controls should be on the inside of the seat.

On a related note, someone near me has some Mazdaspeed seats relatively cheap ($225) . It’s a good thing I’m broke...

They don’t make those new yet, but maybe in a few years if this classic line is a success. I could think of several uses for those Mazda seats.
