I’ve been watching a lot of Adam Savage’s (of Mythbusters fame) Tested videos this week while on lock down and he’s started to do some live streaming while building something interesting and rambling at us. It’s genuinely entertaining and he’s a very interesting dude.
According to what he just said he’s going to try to keep doing these 1-3 PST Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This is solid motivation for me to keep getting projects done during this while staying home where possible!

I’d definitely call him a national treasure. He seems like a genuinely great guy. It is hilarious watching him attempt to not cuss on these too - also the regular talking to his dog. I used it as a companion while I took apart and rebuilt part of my 3D printer tonight.

Nice. It was “
take your kid to work
” day, here.
I’d
always followed
/envied him, but when he did
this show
, I just wanted him to be a friend in my life, because I admired his bravery and honesty.

Never seen someone his age take off their glasses to solder small things. Otherwise it wasn’t exactly my speed either.

I watched about 10 minutes and then wen t and looked at some other videos on his channel. He’s an entertaining guy. He’s a technical nerd bubbling with excitement about technical nerd things, and doesn’t pretend to be anything else, so I enjoy watch ing . But the fumbling start was just too slow and painful. I may look up some more stuff on his channel.
