That was a good episode.

Obama also went on Letterman’s Netflix show “ My Next Guest Needs No Introduction .” I  highly recommend watching it. He wasn’t my favorite president, but he may have been the most grounded.

He probably was my favorite president, but more for who he was than for his actual presidenting. I’ll check out the Letterman you mention. I hadn’t heard of it.

Oh man that Letterman special with him was so, so good. In contrast to our current president - again, in terms of who he is as a person - it’s just shocking, and so refreshing. Definitely check it out. EDIT - I realize you’ve seen it - I mean, I recommend it to anyone.

I always wondered, how did a guy who’s neither flagrantly an idiot, a swine, a crook, or some combination ever get elected to the Presidency of the United States? Even by a fluke? Even very good Presidents, even the epic greatest of them, one and all they were inherently dubious sons of bitches, whom I’d no sooner invite into my house than an inmate off Death Row.

But look at that mother fucker! Just for example , I bet he’s read a book in his life for some reason other than self-service. That alone is a hanging offense in these fifty states. The nerve of him to even exist.
