Can’t sleep. Trying to find something relaxing to listen to. I think I saw a video that was the inside of an airliner, so perhaps the white noise will relax me. I don’t want to drink or pop any pills (I take enough already...) so I’ll have to find something else to knock me out.

I stayed up too late playing video games, fought rain noises to go back to sleep, found I’d had my car window half-open in the rain, and got to work... where not a whole lot is going on, and I’ve been doing minor fixes... and just got a check for an engine cover + recoil I had saved that my boss was able to use for a piece of equipment of his own. A “West Bend Power Bee” motor :
So, looking up in general. Mildly.

Back at work (with a building to myself). Got the waterpump hoses and belts changed on the Pajero this weekend after hanging out with the doggos and hiking on Saturday, so it has been a pretty good couple of days.

Met my boss and picked up the company car for the new job I started today, and that we’re all still pretending is going to continue to exist. Since we mostly sell to essential businesses, they’re trying to have reps work from home and do telesales, but it’s only marginally effective vs face to face. My laptop and cell phone won’t arrive until later in the week, so not much I can do right now.
Also, I was told to take a safe driving test that's in my on boarding packet and send a picture of it to my boss, but no such test exists, been through the binder 4 times.

For better or worse, aside from not having to ride the trolley to work and back, running a basically normal day; just, y’know, from home . I do like getting an extra hour, hour and a half of sleep, though I am hoping the weather improves again so I can get outside for a bit.
Or not....

Remind me where you are? Weather here has been gray and rain/drizzle for more than a week. Should get sunny and hot later. I’m generally not a fan of hot weather, but I’m looking forward to it.

“Go home once you’re caught up” went into effect in my office last week, and I caught up Friday afternoon. Have to go in for about
an hour today to take care of some things, then I’m off to the lake.

Pittsburgh. The we ather was up and down all last week, but at least relatively dry. Now we’re back to March-like temps and rain.

PGH. That’s right. Now I remember.
Keep your eyes open for incoming airplane content in about 20 minutes. I found something interesting last night that I’d never seen before. Then again, it’s hard to find anything that you haven’t seen.....

I wish I could say I’ve been good but I’ve had about the worst two weeks in recent memory. Things may be looking up in a few days though. With my car not being driven much my muddy parking spot has actually gotten better despite the rain and I at least got out on a few walks before some hard rain hit. My dogs at least are keeping me entertained in the meantime.

I’ve tried that, but it doesn’t seem to work for me. If I’ve got a good book I usually become more energized.
I want to read more right now and have a bunch of recommended titles queued up on the Kindle, but for some reason I can’t find the damned thing. I thought it was up in the bedroom but I can’t find it, even after an exhaustive search, so I’ll have to resume the hunt downstairs . The funny thing is that I have two Kindles, and I can’t find either one...
