Reminds me of flat track racing, but with a lot more grip. It’s funny that they have more grip on ice than they do on dirt.

Hardened prepared ice is closer to pan flat pavement. Besides, p reparing a dirt course to safely use 3" spikes sticking out the tires is not realistic.

It’s closer to pavement only when it’s first prepared. By the time they get done with it, the ice is chewed to pieces.

It’s the irony that gets me. It’s ice. It should be slippery. But they messed up the original idea by putting giant spikes in the tires.

I think flat track dirt racing, because it is still slick, is probably closer to what ice racing used to be.
