This is an easy challenge but a lot of us are bored. Pick 5 cars from local listings you’d own. You can spend 100 grand. Extra points for using all the money.

First thing I found was the very Purple Lincoln MKZ. AWD, 3.0 Ecoboost, Love the interior too. Ps. I love Lincoln’s gear select buttons.

Second this 911, Targa 4s. A sports car for every season. The glass roof, and navy blue are classy. I like it.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Too much modern how about this 1980 Triumph Spitfire with backdated chrome bumpers!

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Gonna need a truck as usual. Found this Ranchero.

I only had 4 grand left, but you can get lots of cool stuff for that. Like this Supra Turbo, with T tops even.

Thankfully that automatic description is incorrect.

Kinja'd!!!

So show me what you can find!

I absolutely love that MKZ, especially in that color combo. The fastback design is unexpectedly elegant, as is the interior. They also more fun to drive than you would expect because they sit so so low to the ground with a low and far back seating position. Somehow, visibility is still great too.

One catch: build quality and overall longevity is just about the worst I’ve ever seen in a long time. You would think it was built in the iron curtain for the unpredictable wiring and brittle plastics.

I actually don’t have enough time to give you my picks in detail so here it goes:

Veloster N (daily)

Old Toyota Tundra: for beater + truck duty

Citroen 2CV: for the weekends

dirt cheap NB miata: for good weather

some sort of used van with whatever I have left: preferably a transit connect

I’m not shocked that the MKZ’s build quality isn’t any better that a Fiesta’s but it really should be.

Still a pretty car. And that 3.0EB has to be at least kinda fun. 400hp  is nothing to sneeze at.

Is that the V6? It’s a great comfortable cruiser that can carve corners when you want for sure, but I would never buy one simply because of the Blue Oval build quality. The plastics in particular on the low mileage MKZ I drove were not high quality at all.

Yeah it is a V6. I definitely wouldn’t want to work on it.

Assuming I am keeping the Jag and the C5...

I’ll need a work truck. 1974 Chevy K10 . $13,500.

Kinja'd!!!

Next, I’ll need a fun, back- road convertible. 1967 Austin Healy Sprite Mk4. $10,500.

Kinja'd!!!

Of course, it’s good to have a fun and quirky, but somewhat practical car. How about a 1973 Volvo 1800ES . $20,499.

Kinja'd!!!

Spending this kind of money, I’m going to require at least one race car. I’ll go for the 1975 Porsche 911 . $44,900

Kinja'd!!!

And because bringing these four cars home will inevitably result in my partner changing the locks on the house, I’ll need somewhere to live. Maybe I could spruce up a 1970 VW Bus . $9,000.

Kinja'd!!!

And hey, I’ll have $1,600 left over!

1 of these $26,000

Kinja'd!!!

1 of these $15,000

Kinja'd!!!

3 of these $7,000 each: $21,000

Kinja'd!!!

The remaining $38,000 for shipping, repairs (this is the only sedan I can find online, I know this one is overpriced it has been on sale for a long time), I'll also need storage space... I'd definitely use up all the money.

I can not disagree with this list. The orange P1800es and 911 Racecar are especially hot. And who can say no to a pop up VW camper?

They are Isuzu Belletts.

Okay. I was thinking Fiat or something because they do have an Italian flare about them, but I’m guesssing that was the goal. There is something distinctly Japanese about them too.
