I’d feel no shame in owning one and daily driving it.

Turbo 4, Recaros, Konis, four wheel discs, 5 lugs, 16” wheels, all from the factory. The SVO was so far ahead of it’s time that it just didn’t work out. They didn’t build another Fox Body that capable and equipped until sending it off in ‘93 with the SVT Cobra.
I’d love an SVO with a Cobra IRS and a 2.3 Ecoboost swap.

I’ve always been into European cars instead of muscle/pony cars, and loved the idea of the SVO when it first came out. My friends all balked, asking where the V8 was, but they just didn’t understand.
Your idea for an SVO sounds absolutely perfect. I’d love to see someone build it.
