2006 V6 Rav4
Despite having well over 200k the 3.5L V6 runs strong so it got a new water pump today. That is a biatch to do. Water pump bearings were gone, surprised it had any coolant in it based on noise and bearing state after it was out. This is the 2nd major repair after the AC condenser let go 100k ago. Otherwise just normal stuff (oil, shocks/struts, plugs/coils once, fluids).
I’m glad the old girl has some life in her, I don’t want to go car shopping and it has no rust from being constantly garaged and not driven every day for the last couple years.

I’m about to hit 100,000 on my third gen. The interior design is terrible, but it’s been an amazing car reliably.

what don’t you like? I find it to be a great trucklet and have no complaints on the interior. Pretty comfy for a 6+ footer like me as long as we’re in it for 3-4 horus and not 6-10. The Volvo is an unlimited mile road tripper though. God I love the seats in there.

I just went on a massive road trip in mine. Bad power outlet placement (blocks the cup holder when my dashcam is plugged in), weak A/C, door panels that jut out, wide backseats that don’t let you fully hang a suit. Little things like that. My mom has a newer CR-V, and the interior is much more practical.
