I support this. I also support holding open qualifying rounds. Maybe there's better driver's. Maybe online racing can compete against F1 and really put on better shows

This is a significant event! Die-hard fans are now going to be exposed to e-sports. While that won’t do much for more esoteric e-sports like DOTA or League of Legends , it will validate the platform as a place for true competition. Perhaps some of the “true” sports fans will realize that high-level competition, whether in the real world or in a virtual world, requires true talent and lots of practice.

Or maybe not.
