Not bad. Not bad at all. It's got a bit of a 1980s retro vibe to it. It squeezes in a bit much in the middle, but all in all, pretty good looking.

It’s got the right vibe. Might quibble with details, but, hey.

Going to drive me nuts until I can figure out what this shape is derivative of. I keep seeing the profile from above and almost flashing on it.

Have to work pretty hard to ding the doors on it with your SUV at least.

I see a LOT of Daniel Simon influence in there.

This car would fit right in in Cosmic Motors.

credits and influences aside...

It looks incredibly gorgeous, although perhaps a bit small to fit in, if it were real.

For sure. I met Daniel Simon at his degree show in 2001, when he presented his airship/desert/storybook and this crazy model in a freakin tent he built for the show. He did that work at a VW internship-- their internships were very different from ours.

His influence on pretty much every car or product designer over the last 15 years can’t be denied.

Would love to see a real package for it— the 906 was a great car, but there was barely a floor, and almost beat the GT40s . The 907 was always the one I liked better, though . Ferdinand Piech was the chief engineer on them-- I may somewhere have a copy of Excellence from the 90s with stories about driving them. Apparently they only had an aluminum sheet under the pedals so drivers didn’t Flintstone at 200MPH.
