I've now had the 3 for 3 years now

In that time, I’ve managed to put as many miles on it as the M3 has in total. I got the 3 with just over 40k on it, it’s now sitting at 88.8k. M3 has 48.5k miles on it; I got it with 15.7k on it.

Good on you for driving even the M3 a fair amount.

Also that picture is giving me slight regrets. Before I got my X1 I test drove a 335i xdrive m sport coupe that was strikingly similar to that picture. My wife didn’t want me to get a coupe and she was probably right in the long run but I found it to be such a lovely car. And even though my X1s drivetrain is almost the same- the coupe just felt more at home to me.

M3 gets driven less than it should. I do try and make an effort to drive it at least one day a week.

I think all the M-sport E92s were identical looks wise, apart from the numbers of exhausts . Probably better you didn’t end up with for practicality , and at least the X1 has hydraulic steering.
