Fine, really. It’s the first day for the kids to attend virtual school. The format so far has been pre-recorded lectures and reading/writing assignments. My son’s math teacher plans to have a skype-style lecture session, but that won’t be until this afternoon.
I was called out this morning to help a coworker get set up at home. He wasn’t sure why his second monitor and mouse and keyboard weren’t working. He didn’t have the power adapter for the docking station. He knows what to do now, so he should be fine. The trip over was a nice excuse to get out of the house.
I’m going a bit stir-crazy. I have lots of experience working remotely, but this is the first time I’ve had everyone in the house watching and waiting for me to stop working. I really need to move into our home office/storage room. I’ll need to set aside time to move around more. Being parked in one spot for extended periods is never good.
How are things over there?

I’m still going into the office. 1/2 to 2/3 are working at home. and the rest of us (5) are well spread out. I’m trying to hold out working at home. the kids need the computer for school which would leave me to work at the dining room table on my old laptop.

I love that from the thumbnail I knew it was Hold Your Head Up. Had this song in my 70s playlist ( that will probably see constant play in the Camaro if I get it running) for like 5 years now.
Damn good song.

in addition to that list of suck you presented, i’d also be working through LogMeIn which is super laggy and have a 3 year old jumping on my back.

Pretty good. New lesson plans are coming together, got a 96% on my Water Law and Policy midterm last night, and my professors are all pretty understanding with what a shit show my schedule is right now. My kids are going nuts, but highly entertained by the snake I got to take home.

I haven’t tried LogMeIn. We just use VPN + Remote Desktop.
I don’t have a 3-yr-old to worry about. Instead, I get a 1.5-yr-old.
It’s the cold nose pressed into my funny bone that gets me every time.
