A warm reminder the holiday is about the comforts and joys of home. The parts you take with you wherever you may be. That instantly remind of you good times without taking the shape of any one moment or event.

Those your family tartans? My kilt is Farquharson, my dad’s side is McIntyre, and there’s also Fraser in there somewhere.

Irish don’t have family tartans they have regional ones representing the districts and counties. With one national tartan that is exceedingly green compared the rest. You would lose the pattern showing all of them so I chose a photo that shows how the green accents are woven into a few.

I am part Irish. No idea what exact tartan would best reference my lineage. Someday I’d like to visit and find out.
Instead of avoiding going out and having to deal with drunken idiots and drunken drivers this year. I actually enjoyed being Irish.

I have a blankie. Fowie Bankie.
It’s a blanket with flowers and a cutesy farm people pattern on one side. Very soft. Very good. I love Fowie Bankie.

I had a blankie (mum called it ‘stinky’) from when I was born, it was yellow and when my mum found it again when I was 16-17 it was half it’s original size and had ripped edges.
When I was little it was my comforter and I’d sit with it in one hand and suck my thumb, if I was down, my mum would tickle my nose with it.
The power a blankie has is something to be treasured.

Mine’s just the right size to throw around my arms if it’s cool inside, but not cold enough to change the thermostat, heh. I love it so much. Coco Bunny (and other Puffalumps)
received the most of the parental attention, but Fowie Bankie was always there. Still is. Just a nice little soft,
warm blanket.
