Really a beautifully stark photo framing the outdoors like that.  Too bad the Husky wasn’t in frame.

So now you get to buy your landlord some retractable blinds so this doesn't happen again?

We had a St Bernard puppy like this - he would destroy so many things.

The joys of a large puppy... Sadly it’ll probably last until they’re almost 18 months old, then they’ll chill out. I love large dogs but the growing up is especially tough with their size its easy for them to destroy things.

Scary got brand new Nokian winter tires and steelies for a song off Craigslist and promptly mounted them on his FiST. Never got to drive it in the snow.

I came home to my husky waiting happily by the door once...except that I had left her outside in the yard. She had somehow jumped/climbed through a barred(!) ground floor window six feet off the ground, through the screen, onto the kitchen counter, knocking potted plants and dishes and glasses everywhere. The only times she was prouder of herself were  every time she murdered a squirrel or songbird and presented it to me. She grew up to be a super mellow, loyal adult, though. Eventually. Best dog I’ve ever known.

I put up the curtains, so I owe me blinds.

My employer disagrees for now. Give it a year and a half.

The head of household security chewed a few things in the house when we first got her. Eventually we gave her a box of junk mail and ad s to shred when we were gone, and on occasion we’d come home and they’d be neatly shredded into a pile. Somehow, even her misbehavior being highly organized seemed appropriate for German Shepherd. You never want a bored German Shepherd, because you probably won’t like what they come up with to keep themselves busy. She figured out pretty quickly that the box was hers to chew up when she needed to do something. She’d also occasionally take a box of Kleenex to the middle of the living room floor, take all the tissue out and neatly stack it next to the box.

She eventually got used to being home alone and hasn’t had any issues for years now.

My shepherd mixes both like to steal toilet paper and paper towel tubes out of the recycling and tear  them into pieces

Man. I had to closely monitor whatever Ravna was doing and tell her off constantly for about two months, but at the end of that she’d learned what she was n’t allowed to destroy and what she was  (mostly stuff from the recycling bin). But I was around all the time. Don’t know how long it’ll take without the constant monitoring.
