Meaning it gives off heat as it dries. This is something I knew, but didn’t think about as I spilled the bottle. “Fuck”
I grabbed a wad of paper towels and wiped it up. What I did not remember is the capillary action of the paper , meaning the superglue instantly dr ies and becomes very hot.
At which point, I then started running for the sink, going “ Fuck fuck fuck fuck”
Luckily it didn’t stick to my hand

Back in the day there used to be some mean two part epoxy available down at your local hardware store. If the factory made one part a bit inconsistently it could start on fire it got so hot.

The guy who installed our granite counter top used epoxy out of a big can and he’d have extra blobs of it from time to time and the stuff would crackle and pop when he wiped it up.
