What if we bought vehicles the way we buy food - by the lb or kg?
What brand new vehicle would give the lowest price per kg/lb? What vehicle would be the highest price per kg/lb?

So exotic materials like carbon fiber and titanium, or even just aluminum would be cheaper. What an upside down world that would be.
I’ll have a Koenigsegg please.

Konigseggggggzzzz (sp) or Bugatti might weight twice or three times as much but they are ten times the price of a Lotus. McL aren would probably be up there too.
A F1 car costs $10-$20 million and they weight 1548lb (including driver and fuel), so that’d be my answer.

Wouldn't it be the opposite - light cars with high prices would still end up being more expensive per unit price?

Any small cab over truck like a Hino, Isuzu or Fuso would be cheap per kg down in Oz. Can get one for around Oz 40 grand ready to go at the moment.
Morgan 3 wheeler.... expensive.

Actually, the F-150 would work out to about $7.06/lb, about the same as an Elantra or Mirage and half of the X6.

How about serving size? A SUV is like 8 servings, but a meal for one :P

I dunno, you make the rules here. I though you said we pay by the pound. So fewer pounds means cheaper. Wouldn’t be the first time I read instructions backwards though.

I guess I was thinking “lowest cost per pound” not total lowest cost.
Eh, I’m tired. It’s been a long day.
