72" track width, 10" wide tire , 6" ride height.
Body work is way down the road if I even get that far but this is what I’d shoot for, probably w/ a longer snout
They look a little wonky because the papers bent, as you can imagine each hash mark represents roughly 6". This visualization was necessary because the 1uz going into this frame is significantly bigger then most anything that goes into a Locost chassis, especially height wise. Aesthetics are important, it’s going to look bulky but not too horrible due to larger diameter wheels and width.
This will roughly be the view over the hood, and that’s with a 5" seat height.
Decided on doubling the upper beams all around the passenger compartment.
Exhaust manifold clearance means the engine cant go lower.
The lower front beams will need to be pulled closer together for proper suspension geometry. (As pictured above) Then figuring a way to depower and shorten the (overly complex) Lexus steering rack.
Much to do, but likely wont get a whole lot done in the next couple weeks. If I do rest assured itll be spammed on oppo.

For a steering rack, may want to consider a Mustang II rack. They are, from what I understand, pretty small and simple. It would be another thing to buy, but in the long run it may make your life easier.
Great job though, this is really awesome and looks like it’s coming together nicely!

Strongly considered, whatever it is will need to be within +/- 17" and front steer. (Which it looks like mustang 2 is) I t’s on the list along with chevette, 944, and rx7

A V8 with snails, even. Plans for not-dying?

Plan is no more the 400whp, probably closer to 350 and 400ft/lbs at 7-8psi. The not dying plan includes side impact bracing, roll bar, doubling the upper beams, steel sheet welded to the passenger compartment surfaces (rather then aluminum and rivets)
After that it's the pedals

The welded sheet will help it stay rigid, that’s for sure. Should wind up being an amazing driver.
