Do you do a sort of trace to make one of these?

Do you use Illustrator and trace a JPG? I’m a novice in Illustrator, but I used it to trace the badge below and make this sticker. GM built their Twin-Six in the early sixties and put them in big trucks. The lowest power-to-weight ratio of any truck engine, or some similar claim. But they’re indestructible. I have other projects like that I’d like to do, but I’ve feeling kind of been-there-done-that about it.

Do companies make a copyright claim kinda like YouTube?

I use Inkscape which is basically Illustrator but free. I then import an image and trace around it using the curve command and click to place every node. Then I go in and fine tune each until I’m happy

Yeah but so far only the auto companies have complained, it’s completely random and you pretty much have to either lawyer up or just let them take it down. That shit sucks the fun out of it.
