Slowly upgrading my speakers, one thing at a time to gauge the improvement.

Ordered some morel coax for the door and am printing up a mount for tweeters in the dash.

Unsure about head unit but feeling Alpine.

I hate adding weight to my car, but the factory stereo is just bad.

Oemplus looks like a great option, but I’m stubborn on a few things.

Can’t fault Alpine as a head unit...run one in the VW. It replaced a Blaupunkt that was a perfect fit for the plastics and lighting. Sound wise it wasn’t as big a switch as the new Pioneer speakers.

The farm ute runs a $25 eBay head into the near 20 year old OEM Nissan speakers...

I’ve been very happy with the sound quality/   customization a n d reliability of the last couple of Sony stereos I’ve had ... something like this is similar to my previous ones.
