Walmart was the first place that I ever saw Everclear for sale, and for some reason it just seemed fitting. I grew up in California and it’s banned there, which probably explains it. We did drink a lot of Bacardi 151 back in the day, usually in the form of a shot that was lit on fire and dropped into a beer..

or hot coffee. Used to keep a bottle in the drawer in my cubicle when I worked for FFI. Boiled off some of the alcohol but not all of it. Boss came around every friday afternoon for his shot, too. This was ‘88 or so and we could still smoke at our desks, in Novato, CA!
