The dog should be able to fit, but man, it's going to be tight.

I went to the vet for dog food. Mentioned her injuries, they immediately knew the dog and asked all about her.

Is she a rescue?
We took Ozzman to the vet last night, he’s been having digestive issues. They love him there, which always makes me happy.

Sure is. I was actually the one who brought her in when I found her injured.

Haven’t you found multiple dogs at this point, or am I thinking of someone else, or combining multiple Oppos?

AAAGH I want a dog. I miss my last dog, but won’t be able to get another one for quite a while, so I’m living vicariously through all of you who have dogs. P et your dog on my behalf, please.

This is dog #5 that has sat in my work truck. The first one was Dog (who became Perry [who the vet still has on my account as Dog and confused the hell out of the vet today]), then a few random ones that were found out and about wandering and were returned.
So yeah, I am the guy.

This is now officially a dogs-in-hatchbacks thread.
I’m glad that you have adopted the pupper!

Nice! I’m looking to adopt a dog soon, too.
After having spoken with experienced dog owners, I guess leaving them alone for a work day isn’t a huge deal, especially with older dogs.
I’m looking for an older dog because of their tendency to sleep more (which is good during the day while I’m at work) but also because I’ve read and heard that senior dogs don’t get adopted as often as young dogs.
Hopefully I’ll get to join the dogs + hatchbacks crew that’s apparently thriving here on Oppo!

Old dogs are the best. I was looking for an older one because I'm an old man, but this one stole my heart and now my wallet apparently.

Is this current pup on prescription food? If so, see if the vet will write you a script for her food.
Take t hat script into a PetSmart that has a Banfield pet hospital attached to it and they will take the script and give you a cardboard card you can use to show the register when you buy the food at the PetSmart. And then, get the PetSmart to price match Chewy.com (owned by PetSmart).
That’s probably one of the cheapest ways to get prescription food as I’ve found often times veterinarian offices will charge more for it.
Congrats on the new pup!

Are you getting the one that you posted most recently? https://oppositelock.kinja.com/whelp-maybe-its-time-1842099935
If so... awesome. She looks fucking great!
As for the wallet... I haven’t even gone looking for a dog yet but the way my head works I need to know what I’m getting into, so I’ve already taken a look on Amazon at dog beds, treats, food, etc. and this shit adds up real quick.
Then again, spending money to enjoy time together with friends and family is not something I have to think too hard about. A dog easily falls into that category.

What breed? :D
We’ve got friends who breed Aussie Shepherds...beautiful dogs. Visiting them when they have more than one litter and you’re in a room with 12 several-
week-old puppies is both the cutest most smile-inducing thing ever, but also takes like a million years off your life! :P

I was all set to get another pupper, until I went back to Montreal twice last year to see my family. My youngest daughter Erica has two pup pers: an old Pug (Moe) and her new mixed breed (Penny). She tied Penny to the railing of her deck, Penny got excited and ripped the railing off the deck. I fixed the railing while she took Penny to obedience school, however, it seems Moe got pissed at me for not paying any attention to him and took a big shit on the kitchen floor. When Penny got home she was exc ited and jumped at me, you guessed it , direct shot to the balls.
Left t here and went to stay at my mom’s house for several days. My sister in law came over to spend time with us and brought her dog McKenzie with her. McKenzie has always been a very good girl, really smart too. My wife left a knapsack on the floor of the guest bedroom we were staying in, with beef jerky and other snacks to graze on for our longish flights. McKenzie managed to get the door open, got into the knapsack , and ate everything. McKenzie shit all over my mom’s house for the nex t couple of days.
Cured, don’t want a dog.

Yeah, people generally want to adopt puppies or young dogs, despite old dogs being as trainable, adaptable, loving, and lovable as young dogs, not to mention exponentially less work.
