I’m going on a camping trip with some guys from my church at the end of April. The campsite is about 60 miles away and I’ve decided to drive Jolene.

Kinja'd!!!

We have also decided on a storage building (similar to this) to put in the backyard next to our tiny one we already have. This building is 12x24 feet and has a lifetime floor warranty, free delivery and setup, and I confirmed that it can hold the weight of the car. I’ll just need some ramps or something to drive the car in. I confirmed all of this with the local guy that sells and delivers these buildings.

And, I will need to have this side of our fence redone to accommodate a gate to get the car through but also keep doggo from leaving.

It doesn’t look like it here, but that fence area is plenty wide enough to get the car and the building through.

So, eventually, Jolene will be home. Finally.

That's an awesome plan.  Is the building going to be red as pictured to match Jolene?

If I can get that exact one, then yes! I sure hope so.

No Pontiac could hope for a more loving owner.

So true. I’m just crazy enough to care this much about an old AF J-Body with creaky struts and 96 horsepower.

This got me looking at prefab garages and I came across this one

Kinja'd!!!

And if I am understanding how this prefab works, they literally deliver it whole. A 16' by 40' garage...delivered with no assembly required!

96 horsepower? It’s amazing how much more actual horsepower even slow modern cars have to make up for their extra weight. For instance, my Cruze is considered very slow at 136 hp but then again it also weighs 3,000 pounds leaving about 23 pounds per horse.

Also, good idea getting a dedicated shed so you don’t have to rent that dirt floored one anymore.

Main good thing about the dirt floored one is that my friend lets  me keep the car there for free . But, I hate not having the car at home. It’s such a hassle to go get it.
