Never seen it before and I'm unsure of the benefits.
I think it’s counterintuitive to let motorcycles park on the sidewalk but ok...

With really wide sidwalks that also contain trees and other obstructions that prevent the entire width from actually being used as a walkway, I don’t see any issue with parking motorcycles on them as long as they’re not in the middle of the contiguous portion of the path.

Here is a good video review of that:

I like such parking , makes it easier to look at the motorcycles.
That Lexus in the background is spectacularly unpretty. But I am sure it is practical or something.

A Yamaha Niken . Supposed to have tons of front grip, could be fun in the city. Never seen one in person.

Didn’t Piaggio do this with the MP3? This looks like a sport-bike equivalent.

In some streets it’s bothersome for pedestrians (particularly near the
train station
), and it promotes the use of motorcycles which are the most polluting vehicles per passenger...

I’ve seen these in person, the wobble from the front end under braking and acceleration was pronounced and an eye opener.

Not exactly. Motorcycles typically have less CO2 emissions per person (better average fuel economy) , but somewhat higher NOx emissions per person (not as clean burning). Newer fuel injected bikes are honestly not bad in terms of NOx emissions either, especially the impending Euro V emissions standards being applied to 2020 model year bikes.

I mean, I'm not at war with ICE; I just think it's hypocritical to regulate the shit out of car parking/emissions here while they give the more dangerous and contaminating methods of transportation many benefits.

I've seen many tricycles here from an assortment of brands, they defintively sell well.

Ugly, but intriguing to me. I like it.

Considering most motorcycles and scooters have equipment to carry two people, they definitely pollute less than Corvettes, Miatas, 4cs, and other 2 passenger vehicles.
I guess it would be so much better if everyone drove their suvs downtown even if they are the only passenger.

and contaminating methods of transportation many benefits.
Well, that’s actually a bit complicated. Yea, folks running older efi or even carb designs have polluting bikes. Lower CO2 than cars, but higher NOx. And of course, there are also all the non-compliant Chinese bikes and people who remove emissions equipment as well.
However, bikes have come a long way with emissions, especially modern ones adhering to Euro regulations (far more strict than the US). I’d bet a bike adhering to 2020 standards is cleaner than an equivalent car.

I’ve wondered for a while about the possibility of building an enclosed vehicle with a similar suspension setup to this or the Piagg io... Sort of like this, but with added stability:
At least in my mind, the resulting vehicle seems like it’d be a blast.

Promoting motorbikes over cars reduces congestion. You can park 6 motorcycles in the space that one car takes up.

Then send the bikes to the pavement where they belong...
