For those of you that don’t know, Cinestill buys bulk Kodak c inema f ilm, removes the remjet backing so it can be C41 processed by normal labs, and loads it into regular 35mm cartridges. In the case of the 800T (Tungsten), it is Kodak Vision 500T. The remjet removal means direct light causes some major halation, which leads to some pretty cool effects. I’ve been working my way through this roll since November or December.
T aken with my Minolta XE-7, with either the 50mm f1.7, 100mm f2 .5, or 28mm f2.5.

That’s a really neat effect. You know it’s real but it ends up having this cartoonish kind of look.

Wouldn’t photographing lights at night with any film produce the halo effect?

That effect is cool. The one taken from capital hill is neat. What shutter speed?

Not to the same degree. 800T has a reputation for being the go-to film for shooting lights at night because of this

No idea I’m afraid , the viewfinder was too dark to see shutter speeds for most of these.

Correct, the meter in that thing is actually quite good. Not as good as the one in my X-1, but still quite good.

Nice. The shots look like work from my Leica IIIG with the uncoated 5cm Summa r lens.
I don’t like the look for B+W but for color it’s fantastic!

Cool! That makes an amount of sense, since Minolta was working with Leica during the development of the XE-7
