Turns out a celery/kale/spinach/brusselsprout juice isn't actually very tasty

So why do I keep drinking them?

Well... a double shot of this stuff took 3 seconds to drink, compared to about 45 minutes to eat the veggies that went into it. In short, I fig ured in light of recent public health panics, it couldn’t hurt to boost the AIM vegetable intake.

Who wants to try it? Sure will put hairs on your chest...

I’d rather get Coronavirus.

Come on! The Kale comes on late, which does a great job of masking the lingering brusselsprout taste, which in turn mellows the bite of the spinach!

It's liquid, which means it's drinkable!

Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down. Or so I’ve heard.

I hear that scotch makes it a little more tolerable.

Or vodka.

Or gin.

Or tequila.

Or all four. Call it a Long Island Jungle Smoothie.

Take out the brussel sprouts, they’re too bitter when uncooked. In their stead, add cucumber, pineapple, and ginger. It’ll taste much better that way.

I’ve been meaning to get some ginger. I'll definitely try that. I was thinking maybe rhubarb too... Pineapple is tasty but I’m trying to avoid extra sugar :(

Vodka I can do all day. The rest... I would prefer to avoid unless already quite drunk. Although a friend did share a small glass of blue label Johnny walker, and while I still didn't LIKE it... It was better than any other whiskey I'd ever tried

That’d go through me like a Ferrari down the Mulsanne Straight.

If you’d posted that it was tasty I would not have believed you.

I’d get rid of the B russels sprouts, you should stick to stuff that’s normal to eat raw . Also add some fruit to get a bit a sugar and make the whole thing a bit more palatable.

In which AIM highlights the fact doing something that sounds or looks healthy is not always in fact just that.  The time he spent preparing this post would’ve been better spent reading up about that which governs meal preparation in the food sciences.  Paying particular attention to how the substances being obliterated react to such harsh treatment.

Slow masticating machine. No heat buildup, no mass oxygen influx, as with a blender or centrifugal unit. About as destructive as teeth. I did my homework :)

I should feel bad for my reply . That was the most entertaining answer I never would have received otherwise though.

As others have noted, variety is key. Especially a variety that incurs objects you can’t rationally say have highest direct intended benefit.
