Time for a cold one. Perhaps these gentlemen will swing by and drop off a keg for you.
Any big plans for the weekend? My son’s marching band is doing their first ever mulch sale fund raiser. I will be spending the morning delivering 30-pound bags of mulch from the back of my van. They said that the POV deliveries won’t exceed 300 pounds. That seems like a lot, but it’s just two smallish people. Students will do the unloading. I have a feeling that the band has grossly underestimated how much work is going to be involved with this sale. We shall see. I’ve a lso got ASO this weekend, kind of a boring program though. But that’s okay.
Y’all have a great weekend!

I was supposed to volunteer at our state’s robotics championship tomorrow but today I came down with a mild cough, and while I have no reason to believe it’s anything more than a reaction to the cold front that swept through today, I can’t justify the risk to everyone else at the event.

If you could drop a keg off that’d be great. It’s a gosh darn nightmare getting my hands on a keg in Ohio. Back in Michigan, I just walked to the nearest liquor store. I had to drive to a distribution center just for a keg.

Yeah, I guess that’s just where we are. Better safe than sorry. I started feeling sniffly on Tuesday, and tired and achy. I got angry because I’ve been doing all the hygiene stuff they say, but I could have picked this up 10 days ago before I started maniacally washing my hands. It was super mild, though, and has mostly passed. I would wager that if they could test absolutely everybody in the country they’d find a massive infection rate. It’s just that most of the cases are mild.

I have another visit with the social worker and my therapist tonight to discuss the details of my “voluntary” 2 week hospital visit coming up :(

Had a beer out back on the property. The old quad needed to be ran a bit from sitting all winter. Spring is almost here.

Let’s hope winter leaves and takes that damned virus with it.

Seriously, take care of yourself. I hope that it all turns out the way you want it to.

I took today off. I was supposed to start working on my building again, but work called me up and they desperately needed me to solve some problems. Good bye three-day weekend.
I have a building waiting for my attention. It still needs the rest of the shingles, a front wall and some doors. Then it will be completely dried-in and I can take some time to insulate, build/install windows, then hang the siding.
In the meantime, the WRX has developed a power-steering leak. I have to track that down this weekend so I can start driving it to work next week. We also have to start shopping for a third vehicle. I’ve been in rentals for over two years, so we were saved the expense of replacing the Explorer when it was wrecked in 2017. I am sorely tempted to get my old truck running again.

Drove the fun car to work today. Had bingo night at the kid’s school. We won a bbq bingo basket, so that’s cool. Tomorrow I need to figure out what’s wrong with the Evo and 05 Mini.

It’s always something, ain’t it? My boys come to me with something and I say, “Get in line!”

I would love to have a fun car. Not that my 2003 Odyssey isn’t fun. It does get going pretty spiritedly when it’s just me in the van. V- TEC YO. But I want something small, preferably with a stick. By the time I can afford one, the only manuals will be in cars I can’t afford.

I’ll be bottling my Key Lime Pie hazy IPA. It would technically be classified as a milkshake IPA because of the inclusion of lactose powder. But I think milkshake IPA sounds stupid.
Fingers crossed I don’t have to dump the batch. I did let it sit in the fermenter a little longer than necessary.
Other than that though, going to wash and wax the Jaaaaaa g and C5. And probably the lady’s 128i too , since its level of dirtiness is starting to bother me.

Any kind of milkshake beer sounds weird.

I know, it sounds inherently off-putting. But at its most basic definition, it literally is just a hazy IPA with milk sugar in it. Granted, most have other additions as well (such as wheat flour and extra pectin-rich fruit puree), but the name just doesn’t present itself as something delicious.

Well, I’m a pilsner guy, so all of that doesn’t sound very appealing to me. I hope it comes out well for you!

Fair enough. Next time I brew up a refreshing pilsner, I’ll let you know. :)
