"Mercedes Streeter" (smart)

I’ve parked the TDI and am now back to my love of daily life on two wheels. Like last year, I’m starting out the year on the GS850. Still too salty for the other toys to come out.
It now has a LED headlight, only needed to point the bucket down so it wasn’t blinding.
I also finally have the parts to fix the 2012 smart. I hope to have it road ready just in time to join David Tracy on the Detroit Gambler 500.
My main riding goal this year is to ride as many bikes as possible. If I’m approved for membership at my region’s media association, I want a Ural to be one of the first things I try to review.
And finally, I should be picking up a big boi scooter from an east coast Oppo later this month! I’m clearing some stable for what will be my first EFI bike, finally. :D

Are those springs on the outside of the fork tubes, some kind of mod?

Not a functional one. A local has a ratted out Honda CB he wrapped some weak Chinese springs around for his aesthetic. I already have to do fork seals and find an air suspension leak from jumping it so I copied him with my bea t er GS. lol

I took a half day off for a doctor’s appointment (waiting for her now) . It had warmed up so much, I went home and grabbed my scooter. Isn’t it weird how the office is like 4 miles from my house, and yet it took me 13 miles to get here?

I know how that is! Once I turned a simple 40 mile ride to my hormone doctor in Chicago into a 300 mile journey. xD

Niiiiice! I wish I had time for those kind of rides, but I enjoyed my 20-mile round trip to the doc this afternoon for sure :)

Dialing down the dampening a bit to compensate for the difference (if any exists) would be an easy enough fix.
