I have heard that . I think, however, it falls under the category of semi-affectionate parody or pastiche being best when it’s - on its own - a good example of the thing being parodied. Galaxy Quest is a great Star Trek movie, Blazing Saddles is a solid Western, and Weird Al’s Dare To Be Stupid is the best Devo song never written.

I went as Ad-Rock for Halloween one year, everyone thought I was supposed to be a truck driver. Very disillusioning.
