This is a 1982 Cumberford Ma rtinique. They built two of them, with aluminum bodies, African mahogany fenders, Citroen CX-sourced steering and suspension, and a BMW inline six. As much as I usually have complicated feelings towards neo-retro cars, I don’t hate this one at all. I quite like it, actually. Too bad they only made two of them. At least both of them still exist, so there’s that.

The fact that they built their own body instead of grafting stuff onto a Mustang or a Corvette, and that there's actual skilled craftsmanship involved instead of hastily molding some fiberglass in a shed somewhere is what sets it apart
