Need a hint?
If I’m not mistaken, I do believe the car in the top image is missing the pillar behind the door. This was probably done for interior pictures, but it does looks a bit strange.

The best part is that I believe the rear quarter glass is still in place on that side...

It becomes especially weird when you look at the passenger side B-pillar

Supra 2.0: new and improved.
Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

The pillar threw me off at first, but as I scrolled through the pictures I was thinking it had something to do with wheels that look like they came off of an ‘80s-vintage Dodge Daytona...

Interesting you should mention Photoshop. Way back before Photoshop was a glint in the eye of some Mac developer, I was a big Pontiac Trans Am fan. About 1978 or 1979 Pontiac had catalog and newspaper ads of the cars that I would save. One day I found an ad for the new Pontiac Trans Am in Parade Magazine and it looked really familiar. I pulled out my 1979 Pontiac model catalog and saw the same picture, with the same girl but this time she had her butt parked on a Redbird edition Firebird. Everything was the same but the car was now dressed as a Trans Am. Here’s the catalog photo which I suppose was more of an illustration. (Can’t find the TA version online for proof sadly).

This is a example of what graphical design and photographic retouching used to be...actual practical arts. Nowadays it's a different kind of art...as frequently demonstrated here on Oppo!!

My initial answer was going to be “it’s an automatic?” until I scrolled further down lol.

I still think this and the A60 are the best looking Supras.

Yup, that is an interior view cutaway image... for a right-hand-drive.
Now A70 Supras are starting to get attention... they are probably going to start climbing in price also.
Why isn’t anyone actually building a revival of this?
A90 is not this. It is not good looking, it is not 2+2, and A70's unique styling was GREAT, not ridiculous.
A60/A70, and SW20 series MR2... I would much rather those be the revivals, rather than FT86 and A90 as they are now....
And actually affordable, not more than a year’s salary... but then dialed back with a 4-cylinder and no options, because they don’t sell at 60+ grand.
The 4-cylinder used to be a 2+2 also... a Celica.
