LA baby- I got all the angles covered!

Just a moment: My agent has informed me that it is the city of Angels. There were decidedly fewer of those, outside of my sister who showed me a hell of a good time.

First the list, then my thoughts. There was too much to do in a week. Pictures will be strewn throughout.

Highlights include:

Laguna, San Clemente, Venice, and Malibu beaches

Dinner, drinks, and the hot tub at the ace hotel in palm springs (at night)

Joshua Tree National Park

A visit to Hillbank motors in Irvine

Quentin Tarantino’s movie theater, Beverly Cinema, for a midnight viewing

Cole’s, originator of the french dip (disputed)

A nice hike up to Griffith Observatory

Some really good places to eat

A drive in the mountains to the angeles national forest

And visiting family, of course.

There was this joker on my flight out

So LA is beautiful. I mean it is so beautiful. Yeah there are crummy parts but by and large everything there is gorgeous. Street art everywhere. Even alot of sketchy industrial stuff is just dripping with character.

Traffic was not as bad as I thought. Not a standstill, more like 80MPH bumper-to-bumper. Lanes appear and disappear without warning. In town, everywhere is like a 4 lane road so it is actually quite pleasant to drive.

You will notice a distinct lack of car pictures, as I was driving most of the time and therefore unable to take many pics, but I was rather disappointed in the lack of awesome cars. I did see some cool stuff, but rather it was like one or two special cars a day. You see some street parked classics but they are always beat to hell. What I saw an absolute ton of were current gen mustangs, camaros, challengers, and porsche 718s. Not nearly as many exotics as I expected.

I previously posted about it, but I got a ride in a Caterham. I literally need it now to feel complete. I am currently planning on making some pretty stupid decisions to own one.

Yeah, I went to the Peterson. It was a tourist trap. Some cool stuff, but not that impressed.

These are all out of order, I just posted what looked good.

That vacation is going to be a tough one to beat.

Couple of different beaches. Daytime is Laguna beach , highly reccomended to be at the top of your list if you ever go out there. Evening is san clemente, also gorgeous. Last n ighttime pic is malibu, didnt get to spend much time there.
