been off for a week and a bit went back to work today...apparently we’ve doubled our staff in that week...lotsa newbies to train...lots of overtime too...

was pretty quiet when i left a week ago...sure doesnt look like all the problems we had got fixed...sooo... huh?

also had people congratulate me all morning...turns out i got a proper contract last week...they just forgot to tell me untill i got called to the office this afternoon to sign off on the details

guess i wont have to worry about where im working for a while

(in so far as i can ever not worry about this madhouse)

guess that means ill have to join the union now as i always said i would if i got a lifers contract

Paid vacation is so important; I’m currently at 5 weeks per year in addition to regular holidays (I think there’s 10 statutory holidays here), but the regular stat holidays I don’t find as useful since it’s 10 individual days off (apart from the Christmas/Boxing Day pair) instead of 10 days I could use consecutively.

I think I’d go nuts from working without those breaks.

as of next year i should have 5 weeks as well or 200 hours..4 weeks this year coz my contract starts end of march when my current one ends

gonna be wierd to be an employee instead of a contractor lol....i gets a pension and shit :p...gonna need to watch me pennies for the first month too as ill be switching to paid monthly instead of weekly
