I just started test-driving !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a privacy oriented browser that has built-in cross-site tracker blocking, and let’s you install and use Chrome extensions. I’ve been meaning to for a while, but this gave me an extra push:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Also notable is that the Kinja / Jalopnik FP experience is not bad at all, with no additional extensions to help fix anything. Maybe they’ve been working on it, but it seems snappier. Also, the aforementioned tracker blocking:

Is log in to Jalopnik working for you? In the past, blocking cross-site cookies would break kinja login.

Ooooh. Yeah, that’s broken. Oppo works though.

This is interesting. There’s a specific section of settings for social media based logins, and I have Google logins enabled.

I've been using it for a few months now, been good so far.

I’ve been using Brave for a year or so. It works great on 95% of sites, and many places (eg Jalopnik ) it’s a much better user experience than chrome. I haven’t yet managed to persuade it to let me log on to jalopnik though - the only way I can do that is on Chrome with all the safeties turned off. Yielding to the occasional impulse to comment on the FP is all I use chrome for nowadays - Google must have a very distorted view of my internet presence.

That’s what I would expect. Kinja.com can log in via Google, but the kinja.com login cookie then can’t be shared with jalopnik.com because it’s considered a third-party cookie and blocked.
