Any Oppos have any experience with either BMW of Alexandria and/or Fairfax?

I have a family member looking to buy a CPO and she’s wondering about the buying experience at either one.

Also how thorough are the BMW CPO PPI’s? Specifically for CPOs that have reported damage?

Juxtaposing a wallet with a Beemer strikes me as apropos .

I know a friend of a friend who sells BMWs in NoVA.  I can’t remember what dealership he’s at but I will find out and let you know.

I’m in MD and live right by Rockville BMW but I know Tischer BMW Silver Spring is good because their parts department run GetBMWparts.com which is excellent.

Just going off reviews I would choose Fairfax over Alexandria. I hate how luxury brands all just say (Brand) of (Location) and it’s hard to tell what dealer group they’re a part of. Because we all know some dealer groups are trash.

I’ve had a fairly transparent experience with BMW of Alexandria. I didn’t end up buying from them, but their sales staff was friendly, didn’t pester, gave me a fair price, and then didn’t bother me again. I haven’t worked with Fairfax.

BMW CPO is pretty good, and the warranty is (or at least used to be) fairly decent and would pay out without much hassle. Definitely the way to go if you’re looking for a late-model car.

What model are they looking at?

I wouldn’t trust any dealer PPI for a car they are selling to be worth anything, CPO or not. If you are getting a CPO warranty then it doesn’t really matter. If you’re not, get your own PPI done.

Usually you can find out which dealer group they’re part of easily - even the bad ones usually like to brag that they’re part of such and such group (looking at you, AutoNation!)

So apparently my contact is now doing finance at BMW of Silver Spring, in MD. Not too far away from Arlington/ Alexandria but if there is a specific CPO car your family member is interested in at one of those locations, he won't be of much help.

Nah, she's still looking. Will tell her to check out Silver Spring BMW, Textured Soy Protein also recommended them
