Is anybody watching this? I fear that Roadkill itself may have lost its way, but Finnegan’s two sidekicks in this venture, Mike Cotte n and David Newbern, are growing on me. Cotten, for his part, is casting about for his screen persona, much as Tony DeAngelo did during his first season. I was initially skeptical, but I’m staying tuned.

The one thing that rubs me about ALL of this Roadkill stuff is that they continually gloss over how much all the performance parts cost that they install. Do some quick arithmetic and these are projects in the tens of thousands of dollars, which they then promptly go out and ruin. Such wastefulness. It bugs me.

If we are  honest the magazines this replaces had the same huge parts budget that just sat after the build was completed. Sponsors giving away products or deeply discounted, with the motortrend shows it’s pretty transparent but it’s there.

I’ve been watching it, the first episode pissed me off (that was a hell of a nice S10 they destroyed to make worse) but it’s been getting better. The other two guys are on Mike’s youtube channel now and then, considerably more relaxed than they appear in this series. They’re good guys though, it seems. I’d like to see this show continue going forward, but they’re going to run out of new ways to race, and this has to be an expensive series, with a new car every episode and, as you mentioned, tens of thousands of dollars in speed parts applied to (most of) the cars.

What do you think Tom Cotten’s ethnicity might be? I’m thinking Polynesian. He’s fun, and he’s finding his way. One thing I kind of like about FwF is that they bring out previous Rk projects like Draguar. And yes, I agree: all that S-10 needed was a rear end with LSD and it would’ve been lots of fun.

I’ve been watching, as I’ve been a big Road Kill fan for many years. I take it as read that a big part of the budget for these cars is unreported. It’s just tv after all.

Yes, but they also keep encouraging us to go out there and do stuff.
