As a teenager I wanted one of these so much . That was way back before the days of govdeals.com, so I put my name into the Defense Procurement Logistics Agency (or something like that) and every week I’d get magazine sized printouts of auction items around me. The only M151 MUTTs I ever saw in them had the stipulation that they could not be removed from the facility unless they were crosscut into 4 pieces (Right front to left rear and left front to right rear) with any oxy torch displacing 3/4" of metal or destroyed by crushing with a tracked vehicle. They didn’t want these to get into civilian hands so badly because of the swing arm suspension flipping hazard.  If I were a person who was handy at rust repair, I’d still kinda like to have one.

What you really want is the m422 mighty mite. All aluminum a ir cooled v4 with an almost entirely aluminum body. These things were designed to be air dropped. They’re light weight and can go anywhere but they’re also pretty cramped and the engine could be temperamental.
