It’s been a hell of a week. I took an hour and, because I saw a pic of this old Toyota
last night,
it got me thinking about the late-80s, early-90s hardtop-coupe era, I banged out a sketch of a new Soarer-type-thing. Long hardtop, Supra-influenced surfacing, not as square as I’d want it to be, but the proportions and large, draping surfaces looked about right for a big, elegant coupe, like a top-of-the-line Toyota.
I love those things.
They still look like the future I imagined as a kid.

B-pillars are overrated.
(although it does look pretty good on the Soarer)

Stretch it out to a full size 4 door and that would have been a way better looking Continental than the current one.

Nah, not at right for a Continental.
