The motor speedway museum has a couple of cars on loan to the airport right now. The Ferrari is the least interesting of the two , but I’m biased.

I tend to agree. Normally I’d be excited to see the race car, but the Packard is something I could fantasize about driving in another world where I had money for things like that.

The tread pattern on the two rear tires is identical. I’m wondering if the right one was mounted backwards or if they were both meant to be left side tires .

Neat! I saw a very similar ornament on a Chevrolet while on a VCCA tour a couple years ago.

I was wondering why they had a tread pattern. It looks like they had decided that slicks were good for going fast. But weren’t quite willing to commit to it 100% so they added some of those zig-zaggy strips.

That looks like a Lockheed Vega. I little more anatomically correct than the one at the tip of the OP.
