Well it adds a lot of unsprung mass so you need to account for that in spring and damping rates. It’s also probably hell on wheel bearings, ball joints, suspension bushings, etc . Beyond that, the rear isn’t a huge deal, but drastic changes to the front can mess with scrub radius and centering force and requires some changes to steering geometry to get it right. (I’m going through this right now with a friend of mine who is a suspension guru. It’s a thought exercise for something I might like to build in the near future).

That’s why I have a guy, haha.  He did a lot of the suspension design on our FSAE car in college, and worked for a while for JRZ shocks, and TPC (turbo performance center) doing race Porsche suspensions.  I, on the other hand, know just enough to be dangerous.
