Tonight, I’m driving down to Virginia Tech for a career fair tomorrow. I’m taking a company vehicle because that’s cheaper for the company than me expense- ing mileage on my car. Last week I asked the fleet guy for assistance with this and he said, “I’ll have Snake ready for you.”

I was puzzled as to why a company car was named Snake, and it’s because said car is a Ford Escape, and the Snake in question is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! from Escape From New York. Today, I was given the key to Snake, and our fleet department is nothing if not thorough.

That is so great. Like it’s great that they named it, the reason for the name is awesome. And the fact that some one went through the trouble of making the key chain is the icing on the cake.

I hope the locker where the keys are kept is full of character headshots to identify the keys.

Nice! My dad used to work for a transmission place that had a shop truck - an old GMC Jimmy named “Mr. Page”. Don’t remember much else about it but he did pick me up from school one day with it while on a parts run.

Gotta love it when everyone buys in to the car's personality.

It actually has WV plates for whatever reason. We do have an office in WV but I’m not sure why this particular car is registered there. WV sales tax on cars is 5% instead of 6% in MD where the main office I work at is. Who knows?
