My first thought was Mazda RX-8. I love the hatchback/tailgate combo! It’s outRageous that this didn’t make it to production.

I so badly wanted this class of car to be built as production, the Pontiac Rageous and the Mercury MC4.

They didn’t follow through, and now they are both DEAD. What does that tell you?

Big Mistake to not build these things!

(imagine a Firebird or a Mustang sport coupe alternative with CUV amounts of cargo space and access)

I remember seeing this at the ‘97 Chicago auto show as a young’n. It was certainly a show-stopper.

In fact, I might still have the pics of it somewhere in an album.
