What y’all think? Maybe I could get him down to 9K?
Anything I should be aware of/look for in this one?

That feels like a 6-7k car. Kbb is no help here. It has relatively low miles but is 11 years old and is due for $2500 of work either now or in the next few years.

He adgasket failures anywhere between 100-150k, kinda pricey knowing that’s coming up

Seems high. Timing belt is due by age if it hasn’t been done already ( 105,000 miles or 105 months, whichever comes first ). EJ253, so the potential for head gasket leaks and ultimately failure at 100k+ miles is somewhat high. This were definitely better than the non-turbo EJ25s of the late ‘90s-early ‘00s, but failures are not uncommon.

Stupid crack pipe. You can get a SH for that, probably even less. It’s a $6k car, no more.

CP even if it actually had options. I agree with the 6-7 people.

Doesn’t Mr. Regular own one of these? Seems there was a recall regarding rust out of some suspension components. Better check that out. Yeah, here it is:

Big crack pipe. For reference, I bought my 2008 Outback in similar shape and lower miles for $70 00 from a Subaru dealership... Back in 2015 (I think, somewhere around there.)

Like others have said, you can get a much newer Forester for the same price. The low miles only mean the HG hasn’t been replaced yet.
