1) I am picking up the parts for the front clip tomorrow morning first thing: fenders, support, hood, bumper guard... and I have a guy who’s going to install them for me as early as Sunday.
2) I ordered a 3.55:1 LSD rear axle with 115k miles today from LKQ, should arrive next Thursday or so. Replace the 3.27/open peg leg that’s on there now.
3) I ordered paint for the US Navy Measure 32 Dazzle camouflage scheme and I’ll be painting my first car using Rust-oleum. (Special thanks to Long Voyager for patiently sharing his experience with me!)
Then when I’ve paid for all of this, I’ll have a shift reprogramming k it installed for stronger shifts, though the transmission in the 2010 seems like it shifts much more positively than the one in the 2000 that I drove for a while some years back.
This is my report.

Rusty’s been hanging around over two years now. The Vic is smogged and runs and I want to get it going . I’m really curious to see what the difference between 3.27 and 3.55 makes. It won’t be huge, but it ought to be noticeable. I didn’t want to go any shorter than that because I don’t want to slay the freeway legs or gas mileage. As for the Dazzle , I’m hoping to do a halfway decent job of it, even though I’ve never painted a car before. Rust-oleum paint, and a lower sheen and this crappy car, a tidy job should be achievable. Then, when I get Rusty going, I’ll paint that one, too.

It’s an odd request but when you get your axle could you measure the distance from each hub surface? (with brakes if it has them)
The lotus project im stewing on will need a wide lsd solid axle and its between the vic and 07-12 mustang

I don’t think that request is odd in the slightest. I will provide whatever dimensions you like to the maximum precision that I can muster.

D riveshaft flange offset from center would also be helpful.
E xcited to see the vic become hoon spec

I just bought a new pair of tires, slightly oversize, for the rear, at the swap meet.

It’ll be a mild hoon spec so still pleasant to daily. And a fun paint scheme.
I’m going to get a roll lock, or whatever it’s called, that’ll hold the front brakes and allow the rear wheels to spin freely.

Line Lock. I’d heard that term before. Thanks for refreshing my brain.

might be a bit too old for what you’re looking for, but the Fox Body rear axles can be built quite stout for cheap. I have an 8.8 LSD waiting to be swapped into my rally capri in the garage with 3. 73 gears in it. You can swap it to 5 lug with parts from the 90s easily. Only reason I’m still on 4 lug is the wheels I have and laziness.

It’s not wide enough, I want a 72" total width without running negative offset rims(using spacers)
