cuz what else is the internet better for than shoving your opinion in the face of a bunch of strangers
I know some people don’t like then, others do. I fall into the latter category. My thought on the topic is that people should not just go over to Google image search and find a pretty picture and post it, you need some content. I think notforcanada did it well, it was part of the theme day but had som e great content to go with it. Good job buddy.

So here we go. I f you guys can stomach another theme day, let’ s dive into the Li ncoln Continental, a car big enough to hold a pool if you wanted.
The image on top is of the Frank Lloyd Wright modified Lincoln Continental. The car started out as a normal Continental, but at some point, it was wrecked. Instead of rebuilding it to factory spec, Mr. Wright took the opportunity to customize it to his own liking. It comes in Cherokee Red which was a common color used in his architecture. He also chopped part of the top off and added the half-circle porthole window.
so there you go. enjoy my opinion or tell me to fuck off, either way whatever, I gutta get back t o work.

V alid question - but I honestly like both. I do like context, I’m a bit of a wonk. But also really enjoy the beauty of just a single, good image. Some of the “goodnight” pics posted here are spectacular and let me fall off to sleep with images of 930 turbos dancing around my head...

I’m neutral on “theme days.” I don’t post anything much if at all so it doesn’t affect me one way or the other.

If there was a way to pin a post to the top, for 24 hours and all the contents could go there, and everyone could share the information and pictorials.
I get that it “clogs” the Oppo page, but as of now this is the way.

My stance is that the entire point of this forum is to foster interaction in a community of people with a compatible interest. If a post has comments on it, then it succeeded in fulfilling that purpose. If it made someone smile, it succeeded. If you want to have a Lincoln theme day, I say great. Those Lincoln posts will be no more or less appropriate than they would in isolation on any other day.

I don't love theme days, and especially not during something like Embiggen Days when we're trying to showcase quality writing. It's a bummer when someone works hard on a post and it gets bumped down the page with a bunch of pictures that people just pulled off of google. I'd rather that people use the comments to have a discussion.
