Gage and De Soto are street names in Los Angeles and were the sources of the names of the two main characters in the TV show Emergency ! And to tie it all together, De Soto was a division of Chrysler, as was Dodge, the maker of the D300 utility truck that served as Squad 51.

KMG 3 65!
I watched the hell out of that show back in the day. It turned up on some streaming service a few years ago, and my son really enjoyed it. They had some tense scenes, but it wasn’t over-the-top cinema verite like modern cop and fire shows. Good stuff.
